Here is a quick sneak peek of a loose pre-production prototype of the forthcoming ADM40, 3-way active loudspeaker from AVi. From exchanging very brief emails with Ashley, what I understand is that the ADM40 (presumably 40 litre cabinet volume), is a fully active 3-way, with 10" bass drivers, and the 3 on-board power amplifiers provide a total wattage of 750w. Of course the ADM40 has an in-built remote controlled pre-amp, DAC (as is usual for the ADM range), and will have several digital inputs.
Here is a nice pic of Martin (the designer of the ADM40) enjoying a cuppa, with the Rosewood finished ADM40 located behind him. Please note that this is a very loose pre-production unit (things may and probably will change). Ash told be that the ADM40's will have bases added to the bottom of the cabinet, and the amps will have finned heatsinks to the rear.

Martin: lookin' good, and I think that is a very well-earned cuppa !!! Lastly, kind thanks to Ashley and JC (who snapped this picture), for permission to use this image on my blog. I cannot wait to see / hear the finalised version of the ADM40 (looking good already), and will be very excited to have ADM40's in-country when they are launched in due course.
I have left the comments section open below, so any sensible comments / opinions are very welcome.
Best wishes to all from me for the xmas holidays.....
